led's guage

Matt Palm

WHERES THE LAMB SAUCE?!?!
i want to put new led's behind the guages and then below the window control and door lock also the digital guage where the boost is which led's would i need

It's a lot more complex then that.
A.) LEDs are directional, in places where it's just a 194 swap, you'll have awkward, spotty lighting if you don't use the right type of bulbs or modify the lighting setup.
B.) Most places on the car, like the lock and window buttons, and the DIC, you have to solder in new lights.

DIC is easy, but you do have to solder the metal bands that connect the screen. The actual bulbs are plug and play

If you have to solder in leds there are a few ways you can do a LED swap. You can use a LED strip like this 2X 24 cm 24 LED Flexible Car Strip Bulb Lights Waterproof in white LED light | eBay If you use this type you wont have to use a resistor. Or you use individual leds which will require resistors. You can find a resistor calculator online. If you go with the individual leds you will have to grind down the top of the led to help disperse the light a little more and you can also sand it too. And for the window and door lock switch Im not sure but I think you can use these 2x T3 Neo Wedge 1-1210 SMD SMT LED White Cluster Instrument Dash Climate Bulb | eBay these dont require soldering.

go on ebay and order 20 leds for like 3 dollars that are prewired for 12 volt . you will have to ground down if there directional.
