Never realised it caused a problem in the first place. I would think that the cruise control would be controlled by something by the brake not a light though incase it burns out.

My cruise control did not function when I tried replacing my turn signal/brake light bulbs (3157) with LEDs. The bulbs that I used created a short that dimly lit the brake lights. I will be playing around with some diodes to get this issue fixed. Switching the third brake light bulbs to LED did not give me any issues. I primarily converted to LED for the instant-on factor as there are too many tailgaters.

For my customer we just installed an JSP aftermarket spoiler on his 2007 Grand Prix GT , and in the spoiler it had a little longer LED 3RD brake light and now he has lost his cruise control. I plugged in the factory 3RD brake light and the cruise is working again. The Factory 3rd brake light was drawing 0.16A and the New one is drawing 0.24A. The Factory 3RD brake light is reading 10.6 M ohms avg. I need help to figure out a fix for this. I don't want to hide the 3RD brake light and set up a LOGIC box off of the tail lights to run the new 3RD brake light.
Any one have a good fix for this????
