Anyone replace there factory license plate lights with led bulbs? I am just curious as to the best place to buy them. I see a few online but I never expected them to be $9 a piece lol. Is worth replacing them?

im looking on there sight and they have a lot of options for the 194s. What one did you get, how many leds on the buld? are you satisfied with the light output?

Yes I agree led strips are the way to go...if I hadn't already done mine with a bulb I would re do it with a strip!!

Running no license plate lights is a ticket in most communities, and the cops WILL pull you over for just that alone.
 
how does a led strip work with the tag light and other lights in the interior? aren't the strips bigger than a bulb, therefore not fit in the normal bulb socket?
 
yes they are bigger but all you have to do is pull the socket out...with battery disconnected. then cut the wires and splice them together with the wires from the light strips
