LED light strips under dash and under front seats facing the back

I was wondering if i installed these red led strips (4 of them) and spliced them into the same lighting that illuminates the lights that are already on the floor board that turn on when you open the door to the car if it would over load the fuse or if it would cause any problems? I changed all the lights out inside the car to red and really liked it and the lights on the bottom arent as bright as i would like them to be so im going to add the strips to make them brighter. If anyone has any help please let me know

No. LED's draw a really small amount of current. Even if they did overload the circuit, you'd end up with just a blown fuse.

I run this.

And I just reread the OP again. (sorry, long day) If you're looking for the LED's to illuminate when the other interior lights do, solder into the wiring of the light that illuminates the driver side floor. It's the easiest access. Just use a DMM to test which is the 12v when it's on.

hey i kept forgetting to update on how my interior lighting changes went. i rewired most of the stock wiring and just spliced extra wire in for the new lights and grounded them to a screw already under the dash. I will get some better quality pictures with an actual camera soon i have seemed to misplaced the charger for it. 2012-11-15 23.04.07.jpg2012-11-15 23.03.51.jpg2012-11-15 23.03.44.jpg2012-11-15 23.03.31.jpg2012-11-15 23.03.13.jpg2012-11-15 23.03.22.jpg

@KeithGTP how'd you make the cluster blue? Do you have a write up?

I didn't make them blue lol their red. But its very easy and cheap to do and can get almost any color. I used speaker wiring I had laying around and tapped into the same wires that were already there with stock bulbs. I changed all stock bulbs with leds. And just ran wire to the back for the new bulbs. If u wanna I'll put detailed pictures and the site I got the lights from. It was very cheap for the amount I got and I am very satisfied

ok ill do my best for a write up on this
here is the link for the bulbs i replaced the stock ones with
194 LED Bulb - 6 SMD LED Wide Angle Wedge Base | Miniature Wedge Base LEDs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs
here is the link for the extra bulbs i added in the front and rear floor boards to make it brighter
LSMCC series Constant Current SMD LED Sign Module | LED Module Strings | LED Light Strips & Bars | Super Bright LEDs
i used a kit similiar to this one to connect the new wires that i added into the car
Wire Connectors Terminal Kit # TK-500 by GB Electrical
and i used a tool called wire splicers to strip the new and old wires where i cut them so i could splice them together

Then its easy from there once you get the new wire spliced and put into place. you just run it thru the siding in the car or under carpet your choice to the back where you want the lights to be. and the wiring i used was the wiring that runs to the stock bulbs in the floor board. If you want more pictures or information let me know and i will go take some more

my dash lights i.e. the gauges and all were already red. i didnt have to change any of those. all i did was replace all the interior stock lights then added more bulbs into the interior lighting relay
