Leaking transmission cooling lines

Hey guys, I need to replace 2 transmission cooling lines that are leaking fluid all over the driveway. I haven't actually seen the fittings leak first hand, the dealership told me what it was doing and they wont fix it even though the car is still under warranty. Apparently critical transmission parts are only covered if its inside the casing. Straight scammin' but anyways, can you guys tell me if this is easily do-able or should i pay them the $400 they want to do it. Are there more than 2 lines? How difficult is it? how do i do it? If anyone has pictures that would be ideal!
 


There are only 2. If your mechanically inclined you should be able to manage. 400 is pretty steep. I fixed mine for the price of 4 hose clamps and a couple dremel tool bits.
Obviously you need to jack up your car. The lines connect to the passenger side of the rad(trans cooler) and run underneath the fan then run over the H frame to the trans. The lines are held in by snap rings and black lock rings click over top of the snap rings. A pick set is the easiest way to remove them. Once you remove those the lines pop out with a little pressure and possibly some mov-it. You will lose a little tranmission fluid but not much. Careful of the plastic hold downs there easy to break. Also, removing the lines can be a little difficult because of the angles but they will come out from the bottom. Too bad you didn't post this last weekend when I was fixing my 04s leaking cooler lines I would have taken pictures.

On the lines. It's a bit tough to tell you how to swap the lines when you didn't tell us what you drive. Assuming a newer GP though, a pick and a bucket would have you all set. They are click style and should be cake to replace. Oh..and likely one 10mm bolt. Not sure though.
 
I'd buy new lines off Rockauto and then decide how you want to do the clips. I have used a pick successfully for a few years. however you run the risk of losing a clip. I have spares. Another thing is..buy the tool. It's called a jiffy tite connection. My tool literally arrived yesterday
 
I have almost the same issue. I have a leak from the Transmission line fitting. Do I have to replace the fitting and line going into it or just the fitting. The fitting is just 4.99
