Leaking snout on S/C

SnowDrift

I have a need to replace the snout seal. How do I remove the pulley without pressing the whole shaft out? Is there a puller made just for this? I plan to remove the snout, anyhow, to reseal, just to be sure it's not oil from the housing, also. I am seeing oil on the intake manifold, but have also seen some on the hood. The leak started a couple weeks after I reinstalled the snout after replacing the bearings.

Years back, I posted this on the original seal leaking, but I'm not sure I got an answer on how to remove the pulley and seal, only.

I have a pulley puller I sell for $80 shipped. You can return it for $40 refund. ($6 flat rate padded envelope)

I can also provide a new SKF seal for $11. The seal is held in with a little spring clip and you should be able to get the seal out with a small screw driver and a little hammer. I like to put a little RTV on the seal to snout surface after the seal is installed where the snapping goes. That way you no the OD is not leaking. The newer TVS seals are installed that way.

Is the seal you provide better than the Viton seal? I've seen some youtube videos where the guy is putting a steel body seal back in, instead of the Viton. I'm familiar with SKF products, so I don't doubt the manufacturer quality.

The seal i have is nitrile with a spring. I don't believe stock is Viton.

The seal you get now from ZZP/Eaton isn't Viton and doesn't have a spring. It looks really cheap.
