"sounds simple, right? LOL"
This was the part that bothered me, I guess. Might be funny to someone that has done 100 of them and knows all the tricks of the trade - inside joke maybe? I'm not hip and it's really unknown territory for me.
Found one post, too, that said to run two sheet metal screws into each side of the seal and to be careful not to get into the bearing behind it. yeah, that helps, too... <eyes rolling>
The guy trying to sell polished snouts said several things about the leak on the back side of the pulley, but nothing about a leak on the outside, toward the coolant tank. I assume it's still the seal, but that made me wonder, too. I've got the seal now, so it's likely that it's getting a new one, no matter what. It's just a matter of how deep the project goes.
