Lawlz - this forum is littered with people talking about meth injection

Seriously you guys, meth on these motors is crap compared to the alternative AKA E85. I barely come to this forum but I :th_laugh-lol3: everytime I see someone post about meth injection.

Ive got a car here that had a perfectly setup progressive meth injection system that made 310whp on meth with an already intercooled setup. We switched to E85 and made 373whp.

Meth: $300+ into a kit + screwing around with fluids, nozzles, and tuning. Also, most people inject into a throttle body spacer which destroys your blower rotors coating (which is proven).
E85: $40 fuel pump rewire, $200 injectors, and tuning for basically some pimp dizzle race gas thats cheap as **** at the pump.

EDIT: I have a progressive setup thats incomplete from Alkycontrol.com that I will sell whoever wants it for $100 + shipping. Its got a progressive controller, pump, a nozzle, a few bs hoses, and a check valve.

It's also proven that the coating on these rotors will peel off eventually. Besides E85 is kinda scarce in some areas, such as that there is only one place in my area that sells it and it's way out of the way. I'd rather run meth that I can get anywhere.

Anyways both methods make power, just depends on the person.

I have a set of rotors here with 260k on them that look brand new... and Ive seen 40k mile sets that look polished. Regardless, meth eats the rotor coating and nobody spends money to inject into the LIM.

There are three stations in Houston (where I live) that have E85. I know at least 25+ cars on E85.

Out of the 12 or so meth setups Ive seen all of them ended up ditching them and going E85. There are about 6 or 7 Cobalts that Ive seen here on NICE meth setups... I tuned a Cobalt with less mods (stock downpipe, shorty header, no dual pass cooling mod) on E85 and it made 30whp more then all of the meth setup cars.

Ive seen meth work great for other platforms but Ive never seen good results on a 3800 unless they were running super expensive fluids.

That's in HOUSTON lol. Not every person lives in a big city with a few ethanol stations to choose from. Some areas don't even have any nearby that's worth the drive.

there is 3 stations within 75 miles of me Not worth the hassel Seriously who cares theres people on here that like meth people that do e85 swaps people who run n2o and so on and OMG there are even people who like their car stock yaya BIG ****ING DEAL what a bs post

Your comparing apples to ****ing bananas here really

there a 0 E85 stations in baton rouge, LA area and i never saw one in new orleans either there is one here in sunnyside washington though

LAWLS at you, good for your E85.

15k on these rotors, still look brand new. Have a nice day.

We have E85 at about every decent sized gas station around here. I pass about 5 on my 2 mile trip to work through town.

The jokes on you. You are trapping 105 on meth when I trapped 106 with less mods on an XP cam setup and no intercooler and pump gas. Trapped 110 after I threw on an intercooler with minimal tuning and went turbo shortly after. Youve also got a GenV which Im sure has a different coating then the much more widely ran GenIII.

That's in HOUSTON lol
Do you realize how big Houston is for there to only be three stations? I can go to the south side of Houston and drive north for two hours and still be in Houston. Closest station to me is about 15 miles, next closest is about 45 miles.

For some reason this forum in particular mentions meth ALL THE TIME. Is there anyone here that has done 300+ whp non-intercooled on meth on stock heads?

Also one blaring fact: lots of meth/alky people mix their own fluids which is very inconsistent. Quite a few people seem to use the super negative washer fluid mixture + other additives.

who the hell cares what method you use to make power

For me e85 is a huge pita I have looked into it

Im making close to 300 hp on a shelf tune
and yes i hae stage one intense heads

when i tune it and drop to a 3.2 pulley ill be at or over 300hp at the wheels on pump gas no meth no i/c

But seriously why come on here and slam people for their mod choices I mean what the hell does it matter

tengis, i get where youre coming from. 95% of the people on here that promote meth never ran it.

i ran 100% meth on my car, ran knock free on a 3.2 on a rocker setup and it ran stong on the street and that's all i was looking for. given the chance to do it again i would turn it down and leave it for others to play with.

e85 is a 100% completely different story and it is way more effective. however, not everyone has the ability to run it even if they have the ability to get the parts necessary and the tune for it. gas stations that sell it just arent all that common.

also, didnt catch this the first time around: where the hell does it say it was proven that it will take the coating off the rotors? that is 100% false. methanol or alochol are NOT CORROSIVE. if you dont think so then you should go take a chemistry course. the only reason the rotors flake is because they were not coated correctly from the factory.

also, not banning tengis. he has been in the community for a long time. he just has a big mouth.

ehh no need to ban plenty of assholes on here
Stating that meth isnt super effective and its funny that so many people recommend it... is... being an asshole?

methanol or alochol are NOT CORROSIVE.
First off, Ive never seen bad GenV rotors so the coating is probably something completely different.

Second, I really dont think its about being corrosive or not. One set of GenIII rotors I saw after three weeks of meth injection were about 50% stripped. The other coating that was on there could be peeled (keyword peeled, not scratched) from the surface with minimal effort. Maybe something weird with expansion and contraction when the fluid hits the hot rotors... I really have no idea. Meth injection was "so 2003" on ClubGP - people did it back then with minimal results and the general consensus from my experiences and what Ive always seen people saying: Its not worth the time or money to correctly setup meth injection when you couldve just bought other mods and be more consistent with proven results.
