LADIES! I present...

No...not my running car :th_nanana:

But $151 3800 Headers...from EBay...If anyone has been worried about biting the bullet and getting headers...here is your ticket. These SS Auto Chrome knockoffs (which SSAC's are knock offs of SLP) fit like a charm. A buddy of mine on the local boards (KCPMC), wulfpack06 here also, brought them over and we got a little use out of the toasted L67 sitting in my garage. Here is the OP from the KC boards...

You want good news? Open your pocketbook and buy these damned things. Derrick and I just got done test fitting to a motor (minus the transmission) but I measured from the block to the end of the bell housing and it looks as if they slip right in between...hmmm...just like the SSAC's ;D Little tough to get the front header lined up with the crossover, so a tip is to put in the front header and just let it sit there, install the rear header first, then the crossover, then line up the front header to it. IIRC, Derrick said even with shipping being about forty something dollars...they still didn't pass $200 to your front door. So...without further BS'ing...PICS ladies ;)

The C Note Headers laid out...

Front Header on...then had to take it off to get the rest of it to fit... ::)

Crossover gap which will be eliminated by the clamp OR by welding...which is what Derrick is doing...

When will the header debate be over? These are good headers, the only thing that sucks is getting the rear clamp on the crossover, and they don't come with all the clamps. We put a set of these on a 93 lumina l67 swap after a little cutting to the firewall.

Well Blue...

I have to say thank you for saving me some money :)

I will def. get these instead of the SSAC's. Definetly don't wanna overspend..

Thanks again Blue for the info!

Sweet deal, I just ordered me up some pacesetters. They hve a revised design for the y pipe. They're using a go no-go gauge on it so no more blow off issues. I'm gonna be welding them though.

I told you these were good. I still dont like the dp design though. WRAP THEM you will regret it if you dont!!!

i am glad to here this because i have under 500 bucks and have been wanting to drop pulley sizes as cheap as possible...so i will definitely pick up a set of these....so if these are so cheap...what are the cons...and what do you need to watch out for with these that u wouldnt see with higher quality headers?

u have a link?

Speed Daddy is what you want to be looking for...

97-03 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX 3.8L 3-1 RACING HEADER EXHAUST : eBay Motors (item 170429109492 end time Feb-05-10 14:19:32 PST)

These aren't the OBX, XS headers...or the Zonk Speed or whatever crap that copied the Pacesetters...these are actual SSAC's without the stamp on the rear header. And they are stainless steel, why would you wrap them?

Cons? Nothing...buy a bottle of Copper RTV and have fun. Abrasive and I did these (or SSAC's, same thing) on Rynoman2K3's GTP in a few hours from start to finish...started with no leaks either. Only thing you'll need is a new DP to catback gasket and reuse the stock GM metal manifold gaskets as the ones they give you are crap. We also used the clamps that came with them and they are fine. Ryan has been beating the piss out of his car for a couple weeks now...oh...and he was knock free on a 3.4" before the install and now were seeing 1.46* of KR on a 3.25" withOUT a re-tune

:th_laugh-pointup: You crack my **** up man! What he say's is true :th_king-evil: but, I haven't had one 100mph run yet. I haven't even taken it over 80 yet.

I love my headers what can i say :th_laugh-lol3:

OH, nice, I just put my SSAC's on this weekend and was feeling all smug about the "great deal" I got for $350 shipped and now I see this. Snap these up, if the fit and finish is the same it is a great deal and you won't regret doing it. My car feels much stronger now and I love the throaty growl it makes with my SLP catback.

So whats a good deal overall on headers. I was supposed to buy some used TOG headers an Downpipe with a manual cut out from this guy for 415$. Im kinda skepticul if its a good deal now that im seeing these. An alky gto sayin u paid only 350 for some NEW shipped??

TOGs are a whole different animal compared to these slip fit headers that a lot of people run. they are just better quality overall. i sold mine heavily used for $300.

For HEAT!! Trust me, if you dont you will regret it.

I have these on my car and they fit just fine..eveything they came with worked out great no issues.. the only thing i dont like so much is the down pipe that has the v- band clamp its seems to low for my choice and the wrap around pipe clamp to the rear is a lil tight! Over all...cheap and is pretty much easy to install..If i have some time today i'll post some pics.

TOG's have bigger primarys but overall i'm very happy with my SSAC's.

TOG's should have 1 5/8" primaries while TOG Extremes should have 1 3/4" primaries. Pacesetters also have the 1 3/4" primaries but I believe they are now available in 1 5/8" as well.
