L67 Vs L36

ok looking at getting a block and i was just wondering what is the difference in the blocks? is the bore different?
 


Do you mean L67 vs L32? I think the L36 is the naturally aspirated block and if so Im not sure about that with the compression they have. I could be wrong about that though.
 
If it is between l67 and L32, l32 pistons are moly-coated, and connecting rods are powder-forged I believe
 
l67/32=8.5:1 iirc
l36/26=9.4:1 iirc


that is the only difference. o, and all 05+ and some 04's have powdered metal rods, which are batter then cast, but not as good a forged.
 
i was just curouis because i think if i could i would just get the L36 block and put all the parts from a L67 in it.
 
The blocks are identical, but the L36 has different rods and pistons. The L36 internals are a little lighter. A well prepped L36 can handle 350-400hp.

Are the L26 internals stronger ?

Because my buddy is DDing his L26 Turbo with 400whp on 13psi.... now he's on 16 PSI.....

^^^ His L26 block probably has the powdered metal rods, which would make it stronger than the L36 rods.
