• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

L67 swap not running right

SLP, GTP or call it MUT!
I just got done working on my GP and it seems as though the BBV valve isnt functioning properly. I ordered the BBV actuator from ZZP and installed it and it is still not opening all the way up and the car runs very slugish and gets really crappy gas mileage? I havnt changed th sulenoid on the BBV yet but has anyone else had this problem with the boost not going full and fluctuating? It also runs really sluggish on the botton end until you really get on the gas and when you do the boost gauge flashes back and fourth in the middle of the guage and that is all the boost I am getting and I am running a ported blower and 3.4 mps?

if the BBV isn't closing then that would cause some issues.

Disable it by leaveing both vacuum lines off of it and cap both of the hoses off.

leave the BBV actuator open to atmosphere.

If the car drives mostly normal then its either the acuactor or the bore for the BBV is dirty and causing it to stick.

I never had any boost issues with that case.

I unhooked the BBV sulenoid and the monster came to life! I will have to get a new sulenoid as gas mileage is a major concern.

The solenoid being the thing with the wire and vacuum lines going to it right?

Because thats for traction control and the speed limiter

As long as you turn of trac every time you get in the car you'll be okay.

But i seem to recall that being something you didn't want... :D

It seems to run fine without bothering the trac control but i will do it anyway until i get a new sulenoid.

ah I will just stay off the gas til I get it fixed then. Dont plan on doing many burnouts anyway tires are too expensive. However I do have my GTX wheels in the process of bieng re coated.
