How does an tuned PCM fix KR?
Because.
It does.
If Stock tune or canned PCM is setup for "X" mods but you've got "X" mods + "2.0 dealywhopper"...then you need to tailor the PCM to it.
C'maaan guy.
How does an tuned PCM fix KR?
ARE YOU SERIOUS?????? Do you know what DETONATION is? Knock Retard (KR) is just a result of detonation. By adding fuel you compensate for the added boost the calibrated MAP sees. This is what the tuned PCM does. Im done before I get banned from here.
So you know this but dont know how a PCM can fix KR?? Wow.......and the PCM does use the MAP. If the MAF fails then the car runs off of a VE table. Its amazing you guys give advice but dont know what youre talking about.
No brutha.
I see where you're coming from.
There is just only so much fuel you can add to where either the pulley drop becomes too much for the car and you need to toss on a larger size...OR...get more flow mods on it.
Which is why I've always been a fan of a larger pullied, leaner, higher timing car...than a richer, stock~ish tabled timing car on a smaller pulley.
Look man learn what detonation is. If you add air you must add fuel! How is that drowning it in fuel? When you pulley down the car will run leaner plain and simple. And the VE table is used when MAF values are not present. Do you know the difference between the two sensors???Fuel and air calibrations are a tad specific to the engine and I clearly stated the MAP is used in MAF failure.
So again, how does a canned PCM kill knock other than drowning it in fuel?
No I dont troll. Thats for kids, im 30 years old and dont have time for that garbage. And now you all are talking garbage in the chatbox? LOL this site is just as bad as GPONA.
LOL I go where I please. Build something better than a rockered 3.2 then come talk to me kid.
