l67 buildup

going to be building up a motor for my car need some suggestions,

here is what my plans are so far.
-05 N/A series II short block assembly
-stock l67 heads-intake-
-ported blower.

i plan on doing a cam of some-sort and then the rockers as well,

what rockers and cam combo would be best for a mildly built l67? not looking to set any records but i would like to have around or so at the crank, would love that number to the wheels but i dont want to have to get crazy with the motor.

use l32 heads instead of l67
I wouldnt recomend cam+rockers

headers (ssac,speed daddy)
tune(dhp,intense,overkill,Dyno custom)
cam for mild id say s1x intense cam or xp zzp
105# springs
Head studs and reusable rocker bolts
open cone intake
3.4 pulley to start drop to a smaller pulley later when all the bugs are worked out and youve scanned for kr

Ported blower Theres a few people on here that do good work

what would i gain from the l32 heads? and wouldnt i have to get a custom intake for the n/a heads for the right location on the injectors?

oh ok well in that case no problem i have a set of those laying around i confused those for the others, to many l3x motors

The valves are larger, but the valve seats aren't. The gains are marginal to non existant. Just use the L67 heads if you've got them.

currently the ones that i have are the l32 heads, will have a set of l36? heads that come with the n/a motor, the l32 heads in storage and then the l67 heads that are currently on the car.

My point is that you can use wither L32 or L67 heads, it really doesn't matter. They're even the same casting. L36 would change things up because of the injector issue like you mentioned.

yeah im sure i would just have them freshened up the car only had around 36K on it when it was wrecked, but ill have a machine shop do a valve job and install the new springs

i was looking at intense heads last night and correct me where im wrong but the only difference between stock and stage 4 is....
-amount of porting
-upgraded springs
-manley valves.

if that is the case would i be better of having my l32 heads hogged out and the reassembled with the springs and valves?

The work a local machine shop can do blows the intense heads out of the water for the price. I got a good deal on mine but Igot my heads done for under $600. Full port on both the intake and exhaust side, valve job, springs/retainers/seals/locks/valves installed. Go look in the bluegtp91's build thread for pics of everything. IIRC they are on like page 9 or something.
