need to know if dropping a L67 into a L36 is pretty much plug and play if you have the gtp pcm....blew my 98 gt motor and found a low mile gtp motor just figured id swap them out just curious if itd be a direct swap???
 


yep, it's a pretty straight forward swap. you'll have to get a tune because the transmission gear ratios are different.
 
Keep the blower belt off it. You could run your stock maf if you keep it to a vac line that doesnt see boost. I doubt the car will shift properly either
 


you're going to need a tune. im not sure that you can drive the car very far, if at all, without the right gear ratio in the PCM.
 
You could consider buying a stock GTP PCM on ebay for about $50.00. You can use it without worry and send your current PCM away to be tuned if you wish.
