L36 Camaro build

How much power will be made on an L36 with fully ported L67 heads, a better cam, and a combo nitrous methanol injection setup.

I was thinking 250 at the wheels with the heads and cam, do you guys think that is a reasonable estimate?

I read if you inject methanol with nitrous it decreases the stress that nitrous puts on everything, so I would probably try for a 150 shot of nitrous with the methanol.

L67 heads are lower compression = less power. Then the cam will help a bit but not to 250, especially with L67 heads.

I'm not sure how much the 4.1 stroker made, but I've kind of given up on boosting an L36. One idea I did have was to swap a set of L67 heads onto the F body camaro L36 and then do a dual nitrous water/methanol injection setup.

in my searching, I found an australian L36 setup that had been top swapped and was using an air to air intercooler, I thought that was pretty interesting.

all of those ideas would be way more finicky then a turbo setup and probably net less power. the 3800 just doesnt breath very well. certainly not well enough to warrant any N/A setup in my mind.

air to air intercooler on a supercharged car is just stupid. thats like you trying to run a marathon breathing through a straw.

that is certainly a better way to do it then what i was imagining i.e. a cone filter on one side of an intercooler core and a pipe up the supercharger. with the m90 being a positive displacement blower having to pressureize all that extra volume is gonna kinda defeat the only benefit of the supercharger i would think. the guy claims no lag but im still skeptical. its an interesting concept.

the one guy only made 310 horse on a 2.55 pulley. hell for that kind of power you could just stick an xpz cam in with some headers and some mild heads (like clean a set up) and make more power. seriously no reason to drive the m90 that hard.

I was thinking the same thing about 310 horse and a 2.55 pulley. an xpz cam with ported heads would put down probably 100 more hp. I will have to research how effective an air to air intercooler actually is for supercharged applications.

I would be awfully disappointed if my 2.8 pulley car made less than 300 hp at the wheels

I think some of the top xpz cam builds made like 385.

I think installing an air to air intercooler for a supercharger would be really simple. just mount the heat exchanger and run the ducting.

intercooled on a 2.6 i would believe that. zzp's test car was like 420 ish.

looks like you are at minimum looking at egr delete, belt routing issues. PS pump clearance issues. etc.

That a2a doesn't work well. You would either need to relocate the maf to right before the lim, or hack the PCM so you can run in speed density.
