• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

L36 Build

That is by far the dumbest thing I've heard you say so far.

You have a better chance of getting struck in the azz by lightning six times in less than an hour than you do having a bad HG on a low mileage stock engine.

It will have aluminum LIM gaskets

The oil pan will be aluminum and engine sealed to the block.

If you buy one and drop it in like I say.. you'll be driving a good reliable engine. Although being that you killed a diff, I convinced you not to swap a trans and the next day after fixing a diff you killed a motor. Well.. I'm pretty sure you will break many things.

The head gaskets on these motors are very strong, and very very rarely an issue.

Cam = drop in fuel economy.

If you have a 400 horsepower Camaro then why are trying to turn this NA GP into a racekar? NA 3800 builds are ultra fail. You'll be lucky to breach 200 wheel. Drop the motor in and drive it.

This whole thread is stupid you have a camaro. You need a daily drop an engine in with the same mods you had PLOG hv3 whatever it was. Get a tune and leave it alone. Don't rip apart a good motor. No point. Waste of time and money

Oil pan is sealed differently to the block. It also has a billion time better motor mount, that you can have the pan off in 10 minutes if it ever leaked.
LIM already will have the best gaskets you can get.
HG's don't leak
Motor will be low mileage
Motor will be cheap because it's more plentiful than the L36 which hasn't been produced since 2005
Your L36 UIM and HV3 can be used with your L36 TB on the new motor w/o any modifications.
And put your fuel rail and injectors on it.

Poof.. great daily driver.

It's your money.. we are only making suggestions based on experience and old age
