L32 Injector Upgrade

I have an '05 COMPG and i was looking at installing bosch blue giants instead of going with green giants and having to buy adapters or replace the connectors. has anyone done this already and knows of a thread? and what are the o-ring diameters for this motor? one site i found offered 11mm or 14mm o-rings with the injectors so i'm curious. obviously i would be getting a tune and doing some other mods but i just want to know if someone else has done this and knows more

If the blue giants are the same body style as the green giants, stay away. The spray pattern is all wrong your for car.

They're fine for four valve heads, but for two valve heads: terrible. You'll just line the intake runner walls with fuel causing all sorts of weird things to happen at situations like warm up and low load.

Your car has a 60 mm o-ring to o-ring height and they are both 14 mm.

I have 04 cobra blue injectors if that's what you are referring to and have no issues to speak off

I had them, and didn't like them. My car didn't know what the **** it was doing when cold, and kept changing the warmer the car got.

The idea is the fuel hits the intake runner walls, which evaporate the fuel at different rates based on the temperature of the air, fuel and most importantly the runner wall itself. If you want a little more on it, read this: http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/xtau.htm

Claiming you have no issues is risky business. You could have tip-in fueling issues, running rich/lean during engine warm up etc. Essentially things that most would put down as driveability or emissions. Things that tend to get overlooked. Without proof, which means datalogs with a calibrated WB, we're both flying blind here.

I have a wb and I haven't had a issue like I said I have read all about the spray pattern a guy on hpt used them on 04 with good results comes down to opinion I guess

Was your issue on cold start? Mine does tend to hard start when warm but only after it's sat for 10+ mins

Honestly, I don't remember. It was two years ago now. I lost the USB flash drive with all of my hpt files on it as well. I recall it wasn't good enough, and the Lucas 42s I sold did a much better job. That'd be my recommendation given the price.

Zzp sells 42's for like $250....another guy on here found pickup flex fuel injectors that will work with spacers...overkill has decent priced injectors also

You 3800 guys should be taking advantage of cheap LS injectors...plus all the data is readily available to plug in.

I bought the cobra ones because they where $130 and I just plan to use them temp...going to turbo in the near future so will need at least 60's for that....

i thought about the 60's but im not doing any heavy modding anytime soon as its my daily driver so 42's are really all i need till i build a motor for it i think.

in regards to the blue or green giants spraying wrong, should i be looking for a particular spray pattern? i had thought that a cone pattern s better than a pencil stream but the best would be a "fog"?
