• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

L.E.D Tail lamps

I uses resistors in line with the turn signal circuit. One for each side.

they're available anywhere from 5 watt up to 50 watt. that's why, in my plans for an inline harness for them, i was going to afix them inside an aluminum box... kinda like a big heatsink.

Would that not benefit from being completely epoxied in and sealed. That way there is no air to insulate the heat transfer?

probably not a bad idea, unless you ned to replace one of the resistors for some reason. -- the heat wont be greater than what the regular incandescent lightbulb does though. -- but yeah in a smaller/confined space, heat dissipation is important.

Change the shunt in the flasher module instead to match for one incandescent instead of two. That will work as well.

hmmm suppose it would.

have i ever mentioned i dislike soldering small things? :D

btw, BiB, didja get my email? mines been acting up lately, wasnt sure if you got it or not.

They're screwed in to a steel bumper with nothing around them. Not only do they not get hot but not even warm. Even if they turned fire red with heat it wouldn't hurt anything.

do you know what size yours are? i'll need to get some, but wasnt sure what size to get
