Ok ive ended up with a set of modified 1.9'' rocker arms. I know I need springs, and a tune and that its a good idea to replace the rods while im at it. But, do I need retainers, or anything else? Ive done plenty of reading on rockers and the only place I saw mention retainers was Wbodystore.
 


You shouldn't need new retainers, but..since you're already doing all new valve-train stuff, why not do new retainers...only another $30 or so...

But there's no need for new pushrods, just get the springs, seals, and retainers...
 




As long as your not shifting higher than 5800 you'll be fine on stock springs...

IMO, you might as well do it right the first time.

Crow 105's or G8 L76 springs and matching retainers...and since your in there...I'd get new Viton Seals and Comp Locks anyways...it never hurts to know you don't have to worry about it down the road.
 


I had planned on using 105 Crow's, viton valve seals & retainers from wbodystore. too bad nobody sells all this in a set. . .
 
But I could be lazy & slap on the rockers, maybe get a tune with my shift points kept at 5800, & call it a day.
 
Honestly...anything higher ratio than 1.84 and you NEED valve springs...it really isn't a kinda sorta thing.
