KR Question???

Hi all,
I just received my interceptor scan gauge, thanks to Crymson. I setup the gauge to scan for KR. I have an 01 GTP with these mods: catback exhaust, ubend delete, 180tstat, alt-rewire, and SLP CAI. Driving normal (no boosting) there is zero KR. When I boost reading on my gauge KR fluctuates between 1-3 KR and stop boosting I come back to zero KR. Why do I get KR with these mods? Do I still need to get my plugs and PCM changed to get zero KR when boosting?
My goal is to eventually drop pulley to 3.5-3.4.
thanks,

Is it hot outside? That might be why...and a tune would get rid of all of that KR with a stock pulley. If you got a 3" Downpipe, I'd bet you would have 0* of KR.

Thanks bluegtp91 and Bio248,
I'm calling my muffler guy to see if I can get a 3" downpipe installed also my intense PCM is arriving tomorrow and I'm also thinking about changing my plugs to Autolite 605's. I'm going to be really busy this weekend..:-) I think I can tackle this myself but I've read I need to move the engine forward? It is really tight trying to reach behind the motor. Any good tips changing the plugs?

Get ready to rape your hands ;) First time is always a bish :p Buy a bolt in downpipe and your exhaust guy should install it for you...you just gotta buy the 2 gaskets...

yeah....I installed my downpipe, I broke one of the studs off in the mainfold and had to have someone take over the install for me. I still got rapped on the charges for it. First they quotes me $400, I said yeah not thanks. Then he said $350, I said there isn't a chance I'm going to go for anything that high. Finally we settles on $200 for it said and done and he'd have it done that day. Got rapped but oh well.

Well, I attempted to change my plugs but couldn't do it. Got to have a skilled mechanic do the job. I did however, heat wrapped the crossover pipe and also the top radiator hose. It's been a few days now and the wrap seem to smoke?? Is this normal?

Don't know much about heat/header wrap but I am pretty sure it smokes off some of the coating once it gets hot...kinda like the first time you install headers.

Plugs are fairly easy for a fwd v6. I changed mine a few weeks ago only took twenty minuntes.

I was also installing headers at the same time.

How did you take out the plugs from the engine side close to the firewall? I barely had enough room for my hands to feel where the plug is located but not enough for the tool?

take out the bolts to the front dogbones on the engine side. rock the engine forward and replace the pass. side dogbone bolt, there is a hole on the bracket farther back to allow you to access the rear easier.
