KR is starting to piss me off.

Okay well u can see my mods in my sig. They "should" be supporting for the 3.4 pulley but i have friggin 6* of knock at wot and Im really starting to get ticked. Before we did the LIM it was like 4*. And we didnt screw anyting up because my friend has done many of them before nothing is leaking at all. we checked for vacuum leaks. None. Is the intense tune really that crappy? I mean I dont want to hurt the motor so would putting the stock pulley back on help the KR situation? And how much slower would the car be with the stock pulley back on and my current mods

Im in the same boat that you are in. Supporting mods for the 3.4 and I was also seeing 6* of kr. Until I get it figured out I put the stock pulley back on. It has almost 0* kr now, sometimes around 0.5 but thats it. From what others have told me im leaning toward a better tune. I have a overkill pcm and like all of the other features but my fuel trims are a little off and im sure it could be better with a true tune.

Good luck with your quest for reducing kr and let us know what you did to improve it.

so how much slower is the car gonna be with the stock pulley on compared to the 3.4 with my current mods.

Dont forget with the 3.4 pulley i do have up to 6* of KR so with the stock pulley having basically 0 knock and not pulling timing should it be the same

and should i expect to stay about 13.9 in the quarter mile

Yeah...with that degree of KR your prolly losing any gain from a smaller pulley. And 0 KR wont make your engine go boom.

you guys need to learn the only way to tune is custom with a tuner

All these companies love to just throw timing at it without fuel changes

put the stock pcm back in and see what happens

i dont have anything stock I bought the car modded. the guy blew up the first motor for running a smaller pulley with just the intense tune. So he bought the tune. all i did was put the headers and colder spark plugs in. So i'll just put the stock pulley on for now and when i can afford it I'll get a custom tune

try running like a 3.6 with a an afc controller and a timing commander and adjust it while you're scanning.

I have an 98 gtp with 3.5" pulley, a cold air intake and custom timing to eliminate kr while maximizing cruze timing. I may be pulling more timing than required where I have false kr, but better safe than sorry. I will install headers in the next few months.

call john at intense he is very helpful. Also should you really be running 104s with those mods? 103s seem like they should be enough? if your detination is in the wrong place wouldnt that cause knock? I would try a set of 103s its only 12 bucks and it might fix your problem

the thing is i honestly cant afford anything tuning wise right now so i guess my best bet is to put the stock pulley back on?

Plug would be too damn cold...MPG's would suffer...could you kill some knock? Maybe...but the car wouldn't run as good as it would on 104's with the proper tune.

okay well ill be gettin a mps so should i get a 3.6 pulley or the stock sized one because i have a bout 5* of kr with the 3.4
