KR and open headers.....

So I recently just installed the SSAC/XS power headers on my brothers 99 GTP with a 3.5" pulley, ram air box and hood, the headers (duh), and a supposed tune (fans stay on and what not). My question is, is it safe to run the car open headers until I can put the catback back on (some bolts are currently frozen in place)? Can it run in boost safely? I did some reading up and found out that alot of people generally get false kr from running open headers, but some of the people that do run them get away with no kr what so ever.

Technically speaking since I'm not running the cat back wouldn't the car flow better? I have the piping all the way back to where you hook up the cat back to the attachment that comes with the headers.
 


Won't flow any better without the catback, the exhaust doesnt mean anything past the downpipe. And being that its a 3in DP, there is no restriction.

I would stay out of boost if you are seeing KR, plus you don't have any idea whats done in this tune and it might not be safe with a 3.5.

So for right now just drive it normal, but if it was me I wouldn't even drive it at all because open headers will just make my ears hurt.
 
Well I have no way of scanning for KR anyway. The car had been run with just a 3.5" pulley and whatever tune it had before I bought it since before 2008 (I picked it up in november or 2011). So technically it should be safer than before or do headers need tuned in?

Yeah running open headers is really loud. lol

Isn't there something called a torque app out there? Can it be downloaded onto Ipods and such? How does it work?
 


Yeah it definitely hurts my ears but not nearly as bad as the system i have in my current dd. And i have become well aware of the loose change and other components in the car, it doesnt help that the backseat and such is missing currently.
