I realize my comments will make some angry, but please take the time to do some research so that you can create a well informed response/analysis to the situation rather than an irrational response based on emotion.
I watched it, known issue in the academic realm... Pretty much a joke, since we ignore our own people on a daily basis. Can't fix our own country but lets fix another. We don't address the 15% of Americans that live in poverty that face similar psychological and physiological issues as those in 3rd world countries. 3rd world countries have these problems. As a 1st world country we should not. If they catch Kony what about the funds and means to help all the psychologically/physiologically damaged people + prevent another kony... Yes, lets help everyone else and ignore the problems right in front of us, ignore the millions of Americans suffering, ignore the millions of Americans dying a slow death. joke, + why is this video recruiting the young??? reminiscent of child soldiers...
Copy and paste, i don't have a reliable source for this information, apologize in advance, but if you look at almost any charity, very little money makes it to the cause...
Of the $8.9 million in donations they spent in 2011, this is the breakdown: $1.7 million in US employee salaries $357,000 in Film costs $850,000 in Production costs $751,000 in Computer equipment $244,000 in "professional services" (DC lobbyists) $1.07 million in travel expenses $400,000 in yearly office rent in downtown San Diego $16,000 in Entertainment etc... Only 2.8 million (31%) made it to their charity program (which is further whittled down by local Ugandan government officials) - what do the children actually get?
