• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Kolton's Audi A3!

LOL here we go foreign cars.

The CEL came on yesterday. Cooling system problems.

The thermostat works fine, AC, heat, water pump, radiator all works.

The only thing that ceased was the temp gauge in the dash and that's what threw the code. The temp sensor. Car runs just fine and doesn't over heat. The ecu still throws the fans on. Nuisances.

A new sensor is 20 bucks.

Next lol

Rear right wheel has either a wheel bearing or a sticking brake.
Really thinking it's the bearing though.

Price: 100-150 bucks

And finally....
The original taillight bulbs on my right taillight blew today..
I replaced them a few hours ago though, so those are all good...

Lololol nuisance problems.

Clay barred the whole car! Here is a pic of the difference between the clay barred fender, and not barred hood! Difference was much more visible in person

Then the finished result!

Will be going over it with the Brazilian Carnauba once it gets nice out again!

They have all 146k lol the coils were replaced in 09 due to recall, and one of them got cracked on the rubber boot.
The valve cover gasket was replaced on recall also, so I'm thinking they just left the original plugs in through all that, you know when they do recall work they wanna be cheap

Well...

If the recall is for a VC, then why would you replace the plugs?

But I agree, people and places are lazy to the max.

On most DOHC 4-cyl motors you only have to pull the coils, the plugs can stay in place. So no need to pull them or replace them.

You replace 1 big gasket around the valve cover, and 4 small circular ones around the coils. Then bolt the coils back down and done.

Had to do it to my aunts Ford Focus, and my Miata and both were the same style for valve covers.

Dipped the grilles today.... Boy was that some work!
