• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

3100- head gaskets go between 80-150thou miles....if not then eventually they will

3400 fbody- storing a car for 3 years ruins all the seals as they dry up.....so engine smokes like nothing else

3800- boost stacking will shatter pistons...if not running race gas..(ask me how I know)

LS based- connecting rod bolts....like to break after making 400hp...so need to change them over to ARP. has happened to many LS based engines up here.

just my thoughts and opinions.......and past experiences:rolleyes:

If your 3100, 3400(not counting DOHC), or 3800 has the GM plastic LIM gaskets, it is not a question of if, but a question of when and where the fluids are going to end up.....

Coolant Into Crankcase, or
Oil into radiator, or
coolant/oil Into intake system, and cylinders, or
coolant/oil into engine bay(leaking outside of motor)

Oil that looks like a half-melted chocolate milkshake is very very bad
