Knocking from front end only when accelerating

Getting a wicked knocking vibration from the front end only when accelerating. I've had this problem for quite a while now and just changed a bad hub 2 weeks ago hoping to fix it. It didn't. Being that it only knocks/shakes when on the gas, what else could it be besides the CV/axle?
 


Hello Gonk 24...Were you able to isolate or pinpoint the problem? I am having similar problems with my 2002 Grand Prix. I have changed the transmissioin mount, drivers side CV halfshaft, and I am soon going to change the ball joints along with the passengers side CV halfshaft. I hope that I don't have replace the hub bearing assembly. The bearing on the drivers side felt very tight and that is where I am feeling the most vibrations.(DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR BOARD)

Mine used to do this, REALLY BAD. Just took it to my mechanic today and he replaced both c/v axles and now it drives as smooth as a benz (exaggeration lol).
