knock sensor and airbag light

I have a 08 gxp and my check engine light came on so i scanned it and it came up as the knock sensor, i looked into fixing it myself but it was pretty much impossible to get to. So i took it into the dealership and they just about ripped me off times two and I was not pleased with them, thats besides the point though. I didnt know if anyone else was having problems with the wiring and sensor on these cause my wife and my friend have v6 prixs and they both had the exact same problem.

2nd is my airbag light has been coming on and staying on and the dealership said they fixed but they were wrong and i'm trying to get them to fix it but they say its the sensor under the passenger side seat reading that someone is sitting there when no one is so i didnt know if this was an issue for anyone else?

I'm just trying to get everything fixed correctly cause I wanna put the car up for sale.

maybe replace the sensor under the seat? after a certain weight it is supposed to kick the airbag on and when the weight is removed the airbag goes off

they checked the sensor and said it was fine, this is honestly the worst dealership i have ever dealt with. I knew that it comes on when someone sits down and goes off when they get out but it likes to randomly just come on with nothing even in the seat.

well then they didnt check the sensor because it seem to be malfuctioning, is there another dealership close by?

Try a different GM dealership.

there's another one but its a little ways away, i had many complaints with them and even spoke to the owner so finally I just reported them to the better business bureau and im not the first person to file a complaint with them.

yep sounds like a dealership

it might be worth it to you to go to a different dealership if you want this fixed, or just replace the sensor
