Can anyone advise as to how I can check my knock Retard reading on my 2002 GTP before I change my Super Charger Pulley to a 3.4", also what is the recommended spark plugs that would give me one heat range colder for this vehicle, present mods so far are KN-Intake, Cat Back with U-Bend Delete, thanks.

Do youself a favor and buy a set of Speed Daddy Headers off ebay. $200 to your front door. You need flow mods man, its a must.

Just a simple u-bend delete isnt enough.

For plugs, you could go with AL605's.

And to scan for KR, you need to buy yourself an Aeroforce scan gauge.

You can buy them here, or wait until a used on pops up on this forum for cheaper:
Aeroforce - Aeroforce Intercepter Scan Gauge #

1: Get yourself the aeroforce, its a must.
2: Buy SD headers off ebay
3: Buy pulley and plugs, install TOGETHER. Then get yourself a tune at the same time. Street tunes are the best.

You can buy an Aeroforce scan gauge or an app on your phone (torque I believe) and the Bluetooth adapter that plugs into your car (eBay).

I would think your gonna need a set of headers to run that 3.4 safely along with a tuned PCM.

Hi guys, thanks to all that replied to my post, much appreciated!
With regards to the headers that were recommended, has anyone else purchased these particular ones and are they good quality as they seem very reasonably priced?
I will take your advice and go with headers and the AL 605 plugs, do I need to consider the T-Stat?
With all these mods in place what exactly would I be looking for with regards to KR parameters?
As I am up here in Vancouver Canada I guess I would need to source a shop locally to fine tune my car but again what parameters should I be insisting on, I am looking to achieve 300hp?
My car is in excellent shape and has only 65,000 easy miles on it.
Should I also consider changing over to Synthetic Engine Oil or stick with conventional?
Just changed and replenished SC oil.
Thanks guys but need help with my GTP to make her Purrrrrrrrr like a *****!

A lot of guys on this website run the speed daddy headers, they are made pretty good, as far as the thermostat goes it's not really a must, but for 10 bucks it's well worth it to just change it out. Have you done your lim gasket yet? Before you go all modded out I would replace it if it hasn't been done yet

And 300 hp for a gen3 is going to take a lot more modding and money then just headers pulley and tune and other small mods

You can also use this guy to scan. It's much cheaper than a Aerforce:
ScanGaugeII : Linear Logic - Home of the ScanGauge

Are you taking 300whp or crank? If its whp you will need to start looking at a cam. Rockers will get you close, but not close enough. You might as well look at Intercoolers cause you will need one as well.

Your other option is to do the mods you were planning on doing and using nitrous to push you over that 300 mark.

edit cause I just saw this was in the intro section: Welcome to the family and In B4 A1 Tony

You will not achieve 300whp on a 3.4 setup. Not even close.

Alot of people run the Speed Daddys off ebay, hence why almost everyone recommends them. They are cheap and effective.

Are they the best? No, but your going to be paying a pretty penny for the best. The speed daddys will do just fine on whatever build your doing.

As for KR, it varies car to car. All depends on how your car reacts to the mods and your tune. Thats why you also need a scanner.
