So, it's just an open cone then...right off of the MAF sensor.
Try putting a little piece of pipe inbetween the MAF and the filter and see if that cures it.

It's going to be warmer at idle because there is no airflow at 0 mph in a hotass engine bay. At cruise or above it should be within 10-20* of ambient.
What have you changed since the tune?
If you are running a "newer" style aeroforce gauge, then make sure you are scanning under "knock 1", and not the knock 2 or knock 3 parameter. I drove with the gauge for a year thinking I had crazy spikes of KR at WOT (sometimes up to 7-8*), because I had it set to knock 2 and not knock 1. Knock 1 is for GM cars while knock 2 and 3 are for other vehicles. With it set to the correct scanning parameter for KR, I now just get "blips" of knock under hard throttle usually under 1* depending on the weather. Just an FYI...
