• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I am a newbie to your great site but not a newbie to modding up GM vehicles.

my current fleet

Well here is my latest project/purchase. The goal was to just collect it. But, I really love driving this one. Quick smooth great MPG no shifting.

So I picked this 14k mile gem up a few weeks ago.

I found this nicely modded flawless car under all that mess.

Cleaned it up already sporting a few mods on it.

first mod for safety wanna keep am eye on the dreaded KR or KRR as I ended up setting up my gauge. To much of a pain I am not even attempting to fix it.

for the decimal to work you need to add the 01 in the directions at end of tx number. I don't like pillar mounts and wanted clean and simple. Second only to the HUD dual gauge pod

My first real mod here

The to do list

1 proper muffler clamps. Gonna measure but these are what I need? Dynomax Strap Band Clamps - JEGS

2 will lsx manifold/header bolts work? I can not find grand prix ARP bolts. Where do I figure out what size I need?

3 Car is completely naked no emblems I want a tasteful supercharged one that comes from GM or mimics nothing tacky. I think this one is winning GM Small "Supercharged" Emblem | eBay

4 HP tuners on the way. I prefer to use my EFI Live auto cal. Do they just not support this car at all?

Super clean car, and awesome it has that low of miles. The only thing I have to pick on is: WHY TAKE THE DECALS OFF :( the actual pace cars looked great with them on, and it helps to keep its awesomeness that you've got there. Good find though.

I like the emblem and headers but I just don't see the point of buying a pace car to remove all the decals that make it so special and cool.

The plan was to just store it in a garage take it out once in awhile. Then it grew on me. I picked it up cheap. I enjoy driving it. Not concerned by the value lost. Simply couldn't drive around for work rocking full decals.

Oh yea, and if those are SD headers (they look to be SDs) plan on replacing the flex before you install the headers. The flex is total crap and it'll end up breaking at the seams and leaking. The one ZZP offers is both cheap, and the best replacement for it. I've got one myself and no problems after 2 years of driving.

I am not to concerned about the flex pipe. I was going to do a moog solid motor mount and flipped the mounts in the front dog bones. I am hoping the flexing of the engine isn't so bad afterwards.

It's not really about how much the engine flexes, the quality of the flex is just garbage, and will leak regardless. It's your car though, just trying to help lol

I will keep that in mind. I may just place a zzp order this week anyways.

How do I figure out the pulley?

You can just measure it, but I'd use a micrometer to get an exact reading. By the looks of your pics, it's definitely got a smaller than stock pulley.

You're not on a stock pulley.

Just look at the side of the pulley. (Passenger Side) and see what it says. It will have a label on it what size it is.

Like So:

Yea that too, I just realized it's silver and it's probably got a marking of some sort on it. Most of them do, especially the ZZP ones. If not, then you'll have to do what I said lol

Strobes are staying. a little smoke on the lenses coming.

I have been keeping a close eye on KR. KR control first and foremost.
results 90%= 0kr
passing = 2~or less kr
WOT = 4.XX always under 5

I am hoping the headers a coolant flush and new plugs will bring me close to 0kr at WOT

No way I am not camming it.

Digging thru my LSX left overs (free mods for me) I found these MAF's should bring some flow and allow me to play in hp tuners some more.
Not sure whice one to use. Lq9 Maf or ls7 card style in 4" tube.

Either will work, however the card style is likely more flow ability than you have with the stock TB and Gen 3. Basically overkill.

I guess it's an excuse to purchase another tool. micrometer
