im 100% done with dealing with all the commotion this section brings up. it's also basically encouraging street racing so that we can tell people about it here. therefore, here is my suggestion:

- rename the section "power bragging and track times" or something similar
- use it for: dyno charts, time slips, track posts, road racing, etc.
- get rid of the street racing mentality of the section


i would hope that this would stop a LOT of fighting happening in the section as a whole because of people calling bull**** as well as TROLLS coming onto the boards and trying to defend their home team because clearly other cars cannot be faster than theirs.

thoughts? yay or nay?
 


nay sir. i like reading them but the fighting is getting old. but then again, its ammusing.

im guessing if you kill it, then itll bring alot more "will my car beat this car"
 
I dunno. I kinda like it the way it is, but it does get alot of sh!t talking in there. If people would just post stuff worth reading and not hey I beat my grandmas Schwinn with my GT.

I like reading some of the street races. I know its illegal but so is half the stuff we talk about in the free for all.
 
yeah, its pretty entertaining sometimes, but also pretty annoying. i think alot of the reason people make bull**** stories is cuz if you just came on here and said "i stopped next to that guy and then we raced and i won", its quite boring....
 


all the section does is start fights. i dont get why everyone is in love with it so much. i should have known it was going to swing this way.

i think it should be a thread to analyze track times and mods so people can get a good idea of what to expect when modding. also i think it should be a requirement to post a vid or at least prove that youre not bsing. also any unesessary posts or stupid obvious not true races should be closed and deleted because all it will do is instigate an e-riot.
 
Street racing has been around for a long time. Killing it would kill a ton of posts in here...even though there is tons of sh1tting in that section there is also tons of good info for people about other platforms when discussed. Maybe add to it...but do like other forums do and put up a street racing section. I'll take care of it...if your not man enough to.

I like your idea...have the a timeslip pic or video and list the mods the car has that way people can know what to expect with what mods, DA etc.
 
Kill it. And rename it if you will, Drag strip stories only

-full of BS stories
-street racing is illegal
-all other forums are getting rid of their street racing sections
-Cops have used threads about street racing to catch people before
-I can't understand half the stories
-Street racing proves nothing and we shouldn't be encouraging it with a section like that
 
I know I only have like 30 posts which doesn't give me much clout, but I would be in favor of re-naming it to Track Stories or something track related. This would also encourage taking it to the track to have something to brag about. No more "I had him by a door" BS. No excuses, end it w/ a time slip or vid.
 


in all honesty the most real stories from any user that street races in bballa. He almost always has a video to prove it. YET people all still doubt.
 
I like reading all the bs, but renaming it would be ok to kinda shy away from street racing. Also at the top of the section doesn't it all ready say gpf does not condone street racing.
 
What about Grand Prix Time Slips & Kill Videos

I think a lot of the commotion could be prevented if it were only videos of races aloud. That way we get the proof and dont need to worry about "this would beat, this" without any proof..

I like the time slip idea, this section could be a great reference of how our GP's need to be modded to run this time, or beat this car.

It could be the best of both worlds, drag & street..you feel me?
