Keyless Entry not working after replacing battery!

I replaced the battery in the keyless remote and now it doesn't work. I held the lock and unlock buttons for 7 seconds to reset the remote and it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
 


It was working, but it was weak, you had to be close to the car for it to lock/unlock. I assumed the battery was in need or replacement.

Are you sure the 'new' battery is good? Make sure it is not in backwards/upside down and that everything is making good contact. Do you still have the old battery to test?

You shouldn't need to re-program, at most you just need to re-sync the remote to the car. miker56's instruction should do that.

Re-programing instructions will vary depending on the year model or your car.
Google is your friend there...
 
its common for the metal piece that connects the positive side of the battery to the board to separate from the board entirely.

Are you sure its still there?
 
Sorry about the dealy, but I was out of town. I tried holding the lock/unlcok buttons for 7 seconds and that did not work. I tried to test the old battery and that does not work either.
