Key & shifter issue

I have a 2001 GP GTP. My key didn't come out when I turned it back..I would use something to push the release button under column to get key out. Now car gets stuck in park. Found broken wire under shifter & key comes out without assistance but still having to push shifter release lock to take car out of park. Can hear a click but button does not release....what could that be? The solenoid!

It's a broken wire by the shifter. I think it's purple? If you don't want to solder it back together, I put a piece of straw on the cover for the release button so it's constantly pushing in the button.
 
About how much is the solenoid or do I have to replace the whole shifter? Can someone please answer me? I have it rigged right now but want to fix the issue!

I checked all wires & they all have power & nothing loose or broken any longer...I can hear it click but the solenoid doesn't release. I have it rigged with a piece of wire right now.
