Your neutral safety switch is engaged. Push down on the thing to the right of the shifter that looks like a key/screwdriver goes into it and wiggle the shifter back and forth. The key should come out.

You can also look under the steering colum and there will be a circle pop it off and stick a golf tee or something of that nature up there to release it
