K&N or Weapon X?

Hi I was wondering if it was worth putting a cold air intake on my 2000 Grand Prix GT. If so what brand would be better K&N or Weapon X?

Neither make your own with a good dry flow filter

how do I do that? and how does that work with the MAS?

just do a search for FWI or fender well intake. you can get filters at autozone and advance auto. for cheep. even the SC guys have no probs with restriction with these filters. if you want the bragging rights to say you spend 250-300 on an intake go ahead but you can build one for under $75 or less!

would just a straight cone filter with the sensor be good or do I want to build the full arm with the heat shield?

I was just at auto zone and I think I may as well go with the $115 Weapon R short ram intake. but why stay away from K&N? I had is in my Grand Cherokee and loved it

Too much dirt is allowed to pass through them.

i spent 15 bucks on parts a 20 on a filter, and i have an external maf, couldnt be happier

make a heat shield for it, could use a plastic garbage pale cut to fit and lined with heat reflecting duct work insulation found at Home Depot
