k guys opinions on wheel color...yay

DaytonaGTP

Its not that small is it?
k ive ordered a set of silver machined 5 spoke 18s earlier and im tryin to get a good idea if im gonna leave em silver or somethin different. this will be on a silvemist gp with front and rear blackouts.

stay silver machined
silver with white tire lettering
all black
all black with white tire lettering
black spokes with silver lip
black with silver lip and lettering

i like em all i just wanna know what youd do or would want to see.

youre planning on changing the color of brand new wheels? why did you not just get a different color to begin with?

but, if you do want to spend some money and dont care then i say you do something completely different. do black, no silver, no gunmetal..do a COLOR. im not sure what would look the coolest on silver. maybe like a deep orange?

oh my:

okay, maybe not unless you went really really dark orange.

how about red?

enough ideas yet? do something unique.

Yea somebody needs to do something different.. I should do white rims on my car..

If anything I think Bronze or Gunmetal would look really good on a silver car. You've seen what black and silver looks like so unless you absolutely love it, give something else a spin.

im gonna start a freaky rim color trend around here by making other people color their wheels. this is going to get good.

well i couldnt fine the rim i liked in black so bought it in silver. okay how bout black rim with orange lip? maybe?

With small orange accents here and there, I bet it could be pulled off. Just accents though, not like your front fascia.

so yur sayin accents like maybe the pontiac on the rear bumper in orange or maybe a pinstripe? i was planning on an orange spitfire on the back window. i suppose bronze might look good but imo bronze or gold looks better on a white or blue car... maybe red.

Yea maybe like painting the outside of your grills orange, Orange inlay in the rear bumper, MAYBE a pin stripe. Orange overlay on your badges.. Simple but subtle just like your rims. Then paint your front and rear fascias black.

See black and orange accents just like your rims. It would look nice dude.

On silvermist, black with a chrome or polished lip looks good. As does a gunmetal, black chrome and machined face with black in between the spokes. If you want to see what black wheels look like on silvermist, click on my fquick page for pics.

i wanted black with fluorescent yellow for awhile but haven't done it yet. I wanted either the lip or the whole dish colored an then the rest would be black.

to hell with it im leavin it silver. im planning on repainting the car anyway. prolly blue or black so the rims will match better then.

k nother update. before i ordered my tires i thought id be nice to put em on just to see what i got. they look awesome i might add. the only 2 problems i have and theyre not really that big... the rim sticks out about half an inch which is no biggie. the other is the bolt pattern. i know theyre 5x 114.5 and they mount but man is it a ***** to get em completely on? im mean i got em on but it still had a ways to go before being on the mounting surface not to mention my lug nuts were having a hard time gettin in there too. do i just need to be patient here or am i doin something wrong?

My old 18's used to be the same thing. You have to have the rim in the right position so the lug nut actually goes in the hole. Do one lug correctly and then do the opposite side and you should have the others lined up correctly so that you don't have to move the rim to have the lug get in the hole correctly.
