JVC is useless

I have a JVC head unit worked fine the other day it came up with a code F24-2480 I do not seed it in the manual and 3 letters to their tech support have gotten no response. Can't find anything on the net anyone have an idea?
 


Well the F2480 error is a cd read error. If you take out the first 24 in that, if that helps at all. You could email their customer support but that might be useless.
 
Another member who cant click links right now says to try a firmware update or it might be dead. He then said to disconnect the battery for 5 min then try again.
 
ok I should elaborate, it seems to play fine and the error only comes up when I first turn it on and it is in usb mode but the usb seems to play fine
