• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Just starting; problems already!

Well, here we go, another newbe making the same old mistakes! But, I was hoping those more experienced can offer some help. I just added a tuned pcm and am having a host of problems. I have a wizair intake installed, but was interupted by some family issues and have to wait a few days to get the 3.4 pulley on, and the colder plugs installed. I know I need cat-back work (stuff on order), but the car is bogging out horribly. Will I see any damage running with just the pcm for a few days? It stutters on anything other than the lightest amount of gas, and I am not brave (or stupid) enough to even try WOT.

try using a stock pcm that might be whats wrong with it, i personally would not trust a pre-tuned pcm try to find someone in your area that works with hptuners so that they can customly tune the pcm and fix any wrong setting on it, just my two cents...

Check for any wires that may have been pused over or pinched while installing the CAI. It sounds like a plug wire is arcing out....but it could very well be the PCM, as noted above try swapping out the PCM first thing.

Thanks guys. I'm sure I'll have no problems going back to the stock one; problems started when I swapped 'em. Do you think I'll be ok once the pulley and other supporting parts are in? The pcm was designed for a 3.4 pulley with cold air and cat-backs, and I finally noticed some black smoke in daylight today, possible I just have a ton of kr and am running too rich without the other parts?

u need more than a catback to have a good enough flowing exhaust. u also need either headers with a 3inch downpipe or a 3inch downpipe and a plog to be able to even begin to safely run that 3.4
