• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Just spent almost $1200 at Rock Auto. V. Suspension rebuild

John, Very informative , John. I suggest you and any others consider buying a hydraulic press from H Frt. The little 12 ton goes on sale several times a year and does not take up a lot of room. Many of the tasks which are hammered ( desperation, I know) can be better done with a press and you will find other uses for it like metal forming, and I have used mine for a sanity check on coil spring rating of ebay springs (returned Speed Daddy springs only 1/3 their advertised rating.) The last ad I saw was $99 for a small press (memory?).

I do actually have a 12 ton a frame press from there. I originally bought it to press AK47 jigs to make my own receivers. It's just the way that the knuckles are shaped it would be really awkward/unstable to press them out. I was also afraid of bending the castings
