• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

we were merging onto a highway from another highway when i saw it. i thought to myselfffff oh shiiiiit. he was in front of me in slow lane.. i gunned it passed him in fast lane let the blower whine just to see what he would do.. as traffic eased up i see him snatch it into fast lane and start rollin up on me pretty quick. i then switched to slow lane. we had a good open strip ahead of us. i think he wanted to run as bad as i did cuz we both started slowing down at the same time.. get down to 50 mph and hollered out the window if he wanted to do a quick run... he just smiled and shook his head yes. did 3 honks rollin from 50 mph... turbo spooled... his ass end sat down. and he was gooooooone. im not even gonna say my car attempted to keep up. he had a few car lengths on me by 90 mph. so i shut it down. he shut down shortly after me. caught up to him and give him a big smile and thumbs up. ie never seen one of things run.... im fukcin impressed. :th_thumbsup-wink: btw i was on stock pulley and tune.

lmao so u did it just for the hell of it. too funny. i wouldnt have wasted my time and gas. oooorrr ooorrr u shoulda honked once and took off. suprise him. by the time he wakes from the shock of ur pull ull be an easy 5 cars ahead lol

I would slammed on the brakes on the 3rd honk...try it sometime...you'll never get a more awkward look from the other driver...I did it to all the slow cars the first race then say tell em to run again and blow their doors off.

hahahah thats good ****.... i just wanted to see it run and hear the turbo... car was in damn good shape... did have a lil bit of white smoke comin out of exhaust.

That's funny. I seen one turn off the main drag in Topeka onto a side street yesterday. Tag said "Spooln6" or something close to that. To the day those are still one of my fav cars.

I've had the lucky experience to drive an 11 sec GN for a guy that needed to do some data logging on it. He sat in the passenger seat with his laptop and I gave it a few runs for him. Those cars are scary fast when you put some money in em.

I ran one last week from about 25-80mph, he walked me by about a car. I guess it must have been stock or close to it. They're such nice cars

i could have ran with a GNX last year at the strip but the lines never lined up with me, he was only runnin low 15s same as i was?? (driver mod) probably all original?? but still, DAMN what a car!!

That's actually a pretty gay thing to do

Oh and for the record Grand Nationals are the ****

This thread made me laugh and brought some memories back. I've logged 285,000 miles behind the wheel of my 3 GN's that I've owned since 1987.....and many, many kill stories. Well, they were actually TR's (Turbo Regals, same drive train). When 20 plus lbs of boost hits, it's quite a ride!! I miss that car!!

All five of my sons got tickets through their teenage years. One got nailed going 110mph in a 35, with 4 passengers. It was around 1993 in the car pictured below, not in my signature.....well it won't let me add a picture.....so I'll put a picture in "MY GARAGE"....wrinkled tires.

This was my second TR...(see "My Gararge"). In this picture it had 215,000 miles on the original motor, except for a new cam at 145,000. Re-built tranny and new turbo at 201,000. Drove it 7 hours to Vegas, bolted on the slicks and made 18 passes in 2 days. Ran a best of 12.76 at 106 (20lbs boost) and then 7 hours back home. Sold it with 225,000 miles for $5400.

Sorry if I took up too much space!
