• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Just ordered a B&M pro ratchet

I could shift the stocker better than I can this one.

A lot of people say stuff like this, but I'm just not seeing it. My stock shifter is sloppy as all hell. Often times when I pull it down into drive, it won't actually go into drive, but it'll be sort-of stuck between 3rd and D. Not to mention the detents are so weak, a butterfly could breathe on it and it would go from first to neutral.

Edit: Maybe it's that the GTP is a cheap ****box and the Bonnie is a finely-honed performance luxury automobile. I don't think they use the same shifter.

My Regal ... wink wink and it's stock shifter was more natural to me for moving the shifter around. This new one also has a slight issue that occasionally binds it a little. Aiming to hit neutral with this shifter is not the same as the other. There is really no detent feel, so aiming to shift while not looking..it doesn't feel the same.

I figure my Pro Ratchet should clear up all my issues :th_winking:

Firm single shifts every time, I can't wait to get the damn thing in the car, you know, after I get the motor back together.

id go with this style as it dont need the box around it, this way the boot may fit the gp console and work like you want, but look more in place, or finished looking if you will.

the one you posted is more for a car with out a console. mounted to the hump.

Scotty, the problem is that the megashifter is straight up buns. Not a solid piece at all.

Also, I'm pulling the metal box off the pro-ratchet, mounting it down inside the stock console, and I'm gonna try to jerry rig the stock GP shifter boot onto it. I'm gonna use the stock PRNDL panel as a place for buttons (which for now, will only be Performance Shift).

Just posting to say that the shifter was successfully transported from an Amazon warehouse to my front door. I'm still ripping apart the car so it'll probably a while til I post more pics.

I wouldn't think a ratchet would be much fun in a daily driver. I hope your trans holds up with that ratchet longer than I'm thinking it will.

Had my pops cut a piece of metal which I'm going to use in place of the stock gear indicator as a switch panel. I'm thinking about putting aux. cooling and whatever else I come up with on there.
