Just picked up a 2003 Limited Edition GT for next to nothing. Junked my Park Ave Ultra after taking the motor and other things out. Going to be putting that in the LE, which is already pretty much where i want it to be. YT 1.85, 180t-stat, SD Headers, Walbro 255 pump, 3.4 MPS, Gen V, ZZP Wires, SSIC.

The N/A motor that is coming out i want to build and turbo for my 2000 GT coupe, because i want it completely done there is no rush on it. This past summer i grabbed a XPZ cam and z7 downpipe to get started on the coupe before i found the LE. I will be taking the heads off and sending them to a machine shop locally, because im not paying 1K for ZZP heads...not happening. What else though would i need in order to run the XPZ safely. i heard the guides have to be milled in the heads, but what else im i looking at with this build cam-wise. No rush as i should the LE up and running by mid Nov.

Going to be doing trans in both cars hopefully by next World Cup Finals at MIR, so those plans are already in the works. assistance please?

I'd double check with ZZP on what needs to be done. IIRC it's best to have ported heads with enough lift to handle the cam/pushrods. Keep in mind they have different length rods.

Yea, tryina to see what else all goes into an XPZ setup. I've read what ZZP has on their site, but i also know their goal is to sell product. So, im looking to see from those who possible have done it, what needs to go into it. I been reading up on the turbo side of my plans and i think i got a good grip on where to go with that, but im sure those questions will arise the deeper i get into it.

140# springs or higher, some have used 130# springs and have done fine. modded retainers, double roller timing chain, comp cam o-er or ls7 lifters. should measure push rods so you have correct length. zzp's kit comes with 6 7.00 and 6 7.05 pushrods, but as they stated thats with the useof their heads so always measure to be sure.

Ok, good deal. Whats the deal with the double front covers and machined oil pump cover i read about? Is it necessary or can it be bypassed

some people double up timing chain cover gaskets and machined oil pump cover for clearance between the chain and inside the cover, but only really need the machined oil pump cover.

Do NOT double up on the gasket!!!! I took my crank sprocket to my machine shop and had them chamfer it correctly (like the stock one that came off the car) and I installed the machined oil pump cover. Done....
