• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Just got a GTP, have a few questions for the experts

Well, I know for sure I wont be satisfied with 14's I want this thing in the 13's prefferbly mid to low, so I guess it looks like my plan to just do the 3.4 with supporting mods isnt quite gonna cut it.....

Nope prob not. But with all that stuff on it will be a lot more fun. I love messin with people on the street. And really after the 3.4 setup it won't take much to get it into the 13s

Looks like I may have the blower ported, maybe do rockers and a tb....maybe that will get me where I wanna be?? Lots of my buddies have cobalt SS's LT1 cars etc, cant be left behind since I just sold the Z......gotta make the daily driver keep up for the time being:th_biggrin2:

a rocker car on a 3.4 will probably let you be able to run enough timing to get into the mid 13s if the person who tunes your car actually knows what they are doing. any off the shelf PCM wont get you there.

my car felt like a beast after i got it tuned and i was running LESS than stock timing. it was just the pure fact that i wasnt knocking anymore that made it feel faster.

What other mods, and what was the temp out??

Well lets see...stock blower, stock TB, stock cam, stock valvetrain parts MINUS the rockers...with a 1.898 60' time though ;)

160* T-Stat
Autolite 103's (too cold of a plug...but meh whatever)
DIY Ported Front/Rear Manifold, wrapped crossover(It was a royal PITA)
3" Custom Exhaust, no cat/res/or u-bend
3" Shorty Downpipe
Custom CAI (had the filter OFF and the headlight out...not a good idea LOL)
ZZP 1.0 PCM
Yella Terra 1.84:1 Roller Rockers
TB Spacer/Heat Shield (Pointless Mods)
ZZP Poly Mounts
3.5" Press-On Pulley (with 3.4" belt...NO SLACK :D )
275/45/R17 Bullitt wheels in front might have helped my launch too...but it was about 65*-75* outside and I had a gallon of 108 in her too...

13.848 @ 98.72 mph :th_thumbsup-wink: Then it blew up LOL

lol... mine was b/c im runnin an l36 bottom with the dhp pcm. i will say though stop light to stop light was fine, but at higher speeds, prolonged blower heat did it in twice. first time was racing a mustang to 120 second time was runnin from the popo :)

Hopefully you at least won and got away for the end result lol

Anyone have any KR problems with the overkill pcm's?

before we go any further, id like to hear that you value our opinions over ZZPs since...they are a business and like to make money.

seriously, what are you planning on buying at this point?

What are some other good mods that help fighrt kr? Anything?

yeah, looks like your exhaust is ready for some form of cooling. an intercooler would be a BIG step for you since youd be able to drop a bunch of pulley sizes immediately after you put that on.
