Hello, I am 16 and just bought my first car. It is a 99 Grand Prix gtp. Very excited to own it! Any informations or tips that you could give to me as a new car driver and owner would be very helpful. Thanks. :)

Hello and :th_sign-welcome1:

Izup69 is right with the modding threads, but being that you are 16 and got a Grand Prix GTP I'd imagine she was a cheaper first car, got some miles on her and will need some upkeep before you go crazy into modding.

Consult ^^^ and make sure the car is solid and reliable before you start dumping go-fast parts into the car and have the wheels fall off at 80+. Being up in Philly I'd imagine the car has some rust on it so be sure to inspect the wheel hubs, trailing arms, and pull the carpet in the trunk and look where the rear struts mount up. All are not happy places when rust is concerned and known for being weak from the factory and full of failure.

If the car is in tip/top shape and good to run, move along, make a Members Ride thread and lets share in the fun. Lots of pics and lots of info to have and share. Again, Welcome!!!

Thanks guys, I will look into all of those links. The car is pretty solid with minimum rust, it blue with the F1 style ram air hood and SD spoiler. It has 150,000 miles but the engine and trans were rebuilt completely at 130,000 miles so it runs well. I wanted to take some pictures after I washed it today, but I forgot. I will get them up here soon.
