Just Another New Guy

Hello everyone, I just picked up an 06 GP GT,3800 supercharged. After reading around a little, you guys seem really nice here and well acquainted with one another. I do have a quick question:

How can I tell when the supercharger needs maintenance... I have never own any car that had forced induction, so what types of things should I be doing to it/watching for?

i would change the s/c oil there is a hex bolt in the snout you can drain it out of. also the lower intake manifold gasket are known for being bad id change that.

is there any way to tell when it needs to be changed? should i change it every time i change my motor oil? and where do you buy the supercharger oil? do most get it from the gm dealer?

gm dealerships are usually very overpriced for example when i did mine the chevy dealer wanted 20 bucks a bottle i got mine from zzperfomance for like 9 bucks a bottle. and if its black plastic its a original

The only maintenance typically needed on a charger is when you pull the belt, move the pulley back and forth. If there's play, the coupler needs to be replaced. Other than that, oil on your own desires. GM suggests checking the level and topping it off to the bottom of the threads on the hole for the plug every 30K. They don't suggest a change interval.
