Just a Topaz Gold Metallic GTP

Re: Just a Gold GTP

Been a while since I have posted, I have been busy with changing my MOS from 19kilo M1A1 Crewman (combat arms) to 92Golf food service specialist (support) aka: Cook. I still need to take pics of the stereo and also I got new to me RIMS. The rims are from a (I think) 03 Monte SS. Today I finished doing a remote start with keyless entry. Gotta say it's nice to remote start the car. After my military discount the remote start kit was just under $100 and I installed it myself. Pics soon LOL.

Re: Just a Gold GTP

Ok got the pics ready, just to let yall know I will get it lowered, one step at a time and money LOL. The radio has bluetooth which is awesome, I sync my smart phone to it and completely hands free through the stereo. I got the rims with tires for $150, the fronts had to be replaced they are 225 55 16 and the rears are 245 55 16 meats which look nice and fat from the rear. The rims are getting powder coated gloss black in the future. I got the intake off of ebay for $28 free shipping and it is 3.5inch tube, tried to make one out of stuff from home depot, but failed so ebay it LOL. Oh and the pontiac center caps for $27 off ebay, they fit perfect into the monte rims. Next in line is the PCM from OVERKILL (F N Sweet), then tint and lowering.

Re: Just a Gold GTP

So....I'm starting my build/ progress thread. Used to own a black 97 GT, had to let it go and hoped to one day get another GP. The chance came along and I got a Gold (don't know the official name) GTP. It is bone stock right now, want to do lots of mods to it. Due to finance reasons I will not be doing any mods for a while. Although I have cleaned it up and scrubbed off the dirty tips.

FYI, It is called Champagne Beige Metallic

Very nice looking car - Congrats!

Re: Just a Gold GTP

Thanks, I came upon them while looking at some other rims haha, and for $150 I could not pass them up. Then the Pontiac center caps fit right in!!! F N BONUS.

Re: Just a Gold GTP

Just got my Overkill PCM, I like the way it drives. The only problem I'm having is the SES light is still on. It threw codes for the MAF and P1676. I put a brand new $130 MAF sensor in and still have the code. I guess I am going to have to pull the bulb. Also the other day I had my dash apart and cleaned behind the D.I.C. After unplugging it and then plugging back in the display no longer works, guess I need a new DIC.

Re: Just a Gold GTP

It was a nice sunny day here in central Texas, so decided it was a good time to clear up my headlights, fog lights and exhaust tips. Don't have the money for new headlights....so for little money I picked up the 3M kit. Also created a GTP badge for the nose grill. I like to think all came out well. These headlights make the 16th pair I have done. Might have to make a side job of it LOL. Including a pic of Jeep grand cherokee headlights I did for my buddy. I took the sanding disk from the 3M kit and used those to clean up the exhaust tips, much better than using my dremel.
