Junk I drive

Last weekend dude with the blue Acura ran a 15.3 in the quarter.

Mucho slowwwo. All show, No GO.

Edit: Tried to find a photo of that Acura on your thread but didn't see it. Post another? What's been done to it? Other then the crooked wheels I remember seeing.

There were the pics from earlier. He un-crooked-ed the wheels once he figured out no traction was slowing him way down. And changed tires lol. Black rims on it now and bondo spots. I blew past him on the highway today. Anyway its N/A with cams, intake, Humble tune. A 2.0L shifting at 87-8800 RPM. Sloooo-

LOL. Looks a lot better that way to. So he did the cams, intake and tune and its only a 15's car? Wow. I guess I expected more out of these little rice rockets. That probably cost a pretty penny too.... A stock GTP is about that, in the 15's.

I'm going to go with driver mod. Those cars in stock form should do low 15's. Intake, cams and tune should have it easily into the 14's.

Where's the bumper? lol

He may have eaten it, he's a big ol boy lol.

Must be shaving weight, 5.7 kilos. lol

Shaving looks is my guess!

He spent more on performance than my GTP is worth.

It's slow because he used bleached white rice instead of whole grain. :D lol

Must have not turn upside down and shake all dee white lice first (read with accent). He's half Cherokee and its not venison so...

He never hooked until 3rd gear. From what I've seen, he might catch and / or pass my GTP out around the 880 mark. I bet he could have improved his ET simply by installing the hood.

Oh by the way, the GTP and especially the 69GP are both running nice. The satisfaction I get from flooring the 455 in manual low and thumping 2nd is probably what keeps me alive.

Nope. Thanks. I just swapped wheels and even used the existing lug nuts for a day. Got chrome acorn style bulge seat nuts on it now. It drives smooth and rides great. Ran 70-80 MPH for over an hour yesterday and cannot detect any cause for concern.

Center cap mods probably won't happen soon but in the meantime I am enjoying telling folks that I gained four horses from the swap.

They look cool with chrome acorn nuts-

That crooked park lamp is probably still bothering Bill. Ha. Theres plenty of other defects to stare at. No, I don't work for Lewis.

I plan to use the old Pontiac centers on the Mustang ones once I figure out just how I want to make the modifications. Grind ponies flat, cut tabs off Pontiacs, epoxy. Something like that, because the ID of the chrome ring on the Fords is similar to the OD of the Pontiacs. You can almost just cut a hole in the pony caps and snap the Pontiacs into that... but the wheel is thicker than the cap so... just thoughts for now.

Heres what I did. Snaps together pretty tight and even threads in a little after that. 5L Oil jug lids, Dremel tool, bye-bye ponies and hello arrowheads!
