• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Jobs/Careers Opposite of Cars?

Retired welder, dealing with all the aches and pains from working for forty plus years, inside, outside, under trucks, inside frames, etc. etc. etc.

I'm a behavioral therapist, working one on one with children with autism and other disabilities. I have to drive over 800 miles per month for work ( mileage reimbursed) so I'm glad I drive something fun that gets better every weekend.

ive told people almost the same thing, they were lost somewhat and we are looking at two hwys, they need to be on the far side going the other way, from where were were its one of them, well you can get there, just not from here... then i send them on their way with the best directions i could give for what they wanted to do from where we were. kinda like running a maze to get there, the passenger had a glazed look on her face, like we're so fuked here lol

Steel joist and deck detailer/EIT for Nucor steel. Drafting, designing, and engineering building roofs, like walmart, lowes, etc.

I worked in a steel service center for 13+ years, and we ran a LOT of Nucor stuff... IIRC we even built a plant in Alabama (or maybe Butler Indiana) right next to the Nucor mill.

Now days I am an assistant department head for an Aluminum Roll former. Much easier life in terms of physical work, but its a HELL of a lot more stressful when its YOUR ASS if deadlines arent met. But the pay is better lol.

In my teens some guy asked me "How do I get to 117 West?" I gave him a play by play that ended with 'that'll be 117, which way is east or west, I ain't sure'. I was so HIGH, after he left, I realized 117W was only a 1/4 mile away. I sent the poor bastard 5 miles & a dozen traffic lights out of the way in the wrong direction. Don't ask the baked kid for directions !!!

when i was a kid a few of my friends were real tools, would send people who were maybe a mile from where they wanted to be, back 20 miles and 3 towns. id have to walk away. few times i stopped them before they left, look, dont listen to them, its the other way 3 lights down. i didnt have the heart to outright fuk someone like that.

now the one time they went on and on with this poor old lady how she needs new blinker fluid, and the air in the tires changed yearly and silly crap like that, id just roll with that lol
