• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Jerry's Tuner Notebook -> Wikified

DH. Please. If you're gonna say its wrong , explain why and give a resolution. Otherwise your posts all look the same

Hate to break it to you, but its just plain wrong.

I don't see anything else openly available and this is working well for me. So unless there is a secret super guide out there, this is what I have to work with. If it nets me a gain and keeps my problems in check, it seems fine for me

Jerry, I suggest you get your facts straight on VE tuning stuff...

Ah yes, the thread that just gives and gives.

DH, before I give you ANY right to correct ANYTHING I write, go make a tuning guide yourself. You've had years to ***** about it and still don't write your own. Rather than complain, PUT UP... or SHUT UP... you're nothing but full of hot air and low self-esteem.

For years, you are the one that likes to point to things, scream "thats not right", and on one famous post, say thats not right then ask others to say why... but then NEVER do anything more. Completely ridiculous.

One the day you have a better HOW TO TUNE, then I *may* take you seriously (though I doubt it), until then you have all the earmarks of a troll, and I don't feed trolls.

Have a nice one. :)

I am in the process of putting Jerry's Tuner Notebook online in a Wiki format. The current site is paid for by my own $$$, but if the site gets traction, I will probably add Google ads to pay for the hosting/bandwidth.

I have uploaded up to Bin Preparation Stage 2. I would like help with the rest of the manual. Keeping the manual close to it's current format is a requirement. I would like to add screenshots and specific instructions for the HPT as well, making it a "universal" notebook.

Feel free to help out, registration and editing is open to anyone. I will eventually have to add administrators and such, but for now, it is wide open.

Main Page - OpenTuner Notebook

Feel free to let me know of any problems you encounter, this is a brand new setup.

Shawn

P.S. I wonder if I can post this on ClubXX???

Edit: New link: http://www.syner-g.org/JerrysTuningNotebook/

my anti virus software says not to go to the first link, apparently they can transmit a virus or the site has been involved in racketeering or something. the second link dosen't work.

"Trend Micro has confirmed that this website can transmit malicious software or has been involved in online scams or fraud."

I looked through it and found it, only to realize that my local tuner friend has probably gone through all the steps Jerry illustrated in bin setup.

when adding timing, is there any problem with adding timing across the board like the SHAZAM button does? If I add timing to low rpm's will it affect the idle?

what is the best way to adjust the o2 levels during normal driving? is there any reason to adjust those?

I personally like the SHAZAM button on these motors. For the most part, they make the most power with higher timing. LS motors and many others, that's not really the case.

Adding timing may affect idle somewhat. You can play with it and see where it idles the best.

As long as you are still running and O2 sensor, you can't really do anything to change your O2 levels. The only thing you can really do is dial in your fueling so your LTFT's are within +5 or -5.

my ltft's are lean in a lot of places where I wasn't coasting down a hill, is maf smoothing going to bring in those ltft's or is ve tuning the way to bring those in?

is it ok to add timing when I havent done any ve tuning? my maf curve looks pretty smooth, and I havent seen any kr with pulls at 80% throttle
