Jerks while reversing and in low gear

Hello -
I recently drove right over a curb at 30mph badly damaging my right wheel rim and destroyed my tire.
Took it to the shop, was told to pretty much replace a lot of those parts as a precaution, cost me 4k more than the current value of the car :( , but I hate buying cars, anyways wanted to get another 2-3 yrs on my car.

Now after 3 weeks the car jerks during reversing on the driveway or at work after the engine has been quiet for a long time.
They are minor jerks, but Im worried that my 4k investment will come to naught if the jerks are due to an imminent transmission , engine problem.

Any ideas on why this happens.

Check the transmission, something may have slipped :( I broke 3rd gear on my old manual transmission when I was trying to shift and hit a huge pothole at the same time. It was 2 AM and headlights from '82 Caviar doesn't do good in telling me there's a pothole big enough to swallow a beach ball whole. I spent the remaining 5 or 6 months I had with the car going from 2nd to 4th.

Okay thanks for the response, I went to the shop here and they said it was the engine mounts, got them changed cost me a grand.
For now the jerk is slight but still there.

Okay friends - I think problem is solved finally. So yes you saw that I took it to CBA for the engine mount replacement, that didnt help at all. This was before I decided to work on the car myself.

So earlier the first thermostat was changed to 180F probably at around 75k miles (from the GM recommended 195), then I did another flush and another and and so on finally due to the overheating issue due to the bad radiator, decided to change the thermostat as well , this time I changed it to 195.

Now there are very jerks , in fact the jerky movement is slowly ceasing.

Also I am using the high mileage Lucas Fuel Treatment additive along with premium 93 gas, which I will use for probably 1000 or so miles.

A few things, the noise has come down considerably, the engine does run hotter, 2 bars below midway (with the 180F it used to stay pegged at 1/4 ), but pickup and smoothness has returned, I now hear the same engine that I heard when I bought it 10 years ago!

<Touch wood for all the positives in the post !>

Thank you!
